“The incident was classified as a one-match sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.”

Talking to reporters within the post-match press convention, Richmond coach Damien Hardwick insisted he didn’t see the incident, denying that Ginnivan had been unfairly focused through the 27-point victory.
