Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt said poor finishing cost them victory in their 0-0 DStv Premiership draw with Moroka Swallows at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Sunday.
Hunt’s side dominated possession and had several scoring chances, but couldn’t find the back of the net.
In a post-match interview, Gavin Hunt was disappointed not to have picked up the full three points on offer.
“I thought we were unfortunate, we created more than enough chances,” Hunt said.
“I thought we did well, we restricted them to one chance really the whole match but it’s disappointing not scoring.
“It’s not for a lack of trying, we created so many opportunities again and the commitment was there, the players did well and I can’t fault them.
The Chilli Boys stayed 14th in the 16-team league with just six points after eight matches.
Worryingly, they have only scored three goals in those games, while conceding 10.
Chippa United will next be in action against Cape Town City FC in the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday, 3 November.
kick-off is scheduled for 17:00.
