DRC sail through after home win over Benin


The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are through to the World Cup play-off round after beating Benin 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.

DRC scored the first goal in the 10th minute through Dieumerci Mbokani.

Amale completed the job with the second goal  for the hosts in the 75th minute.

The Leopards finished at the top of Group J on 14 points, three point ahead of Tanzania who shared the spoils with Madagascar 1-1 also on Sunday.

Madagascar completed the race with four points from six games whereas third-placed Benin have 10 points.
