Queensland has recorded 6,781 new coronavirus cases from 29,000 tests.
“Of course we know the real number is significantly higher than that,” Chief Health Officer Dr John Gerrard said.
“Because many people have mild symptoms that have not sought to be tested. Some people are having RAT tests that they’re doing at their own home and some people have had difficulty getting tests and we are very well aware of that.”
There are 265 cases in hospitals around the state.
